Del Norte Social Services Coordinator
Full time: 35-hours/week; non-exempt position

Starting range is $20 to $22/hr

Under the direct supervision of the Social Services Manager, this position oversees and coordinates the Area 1 Agency on Aging social services programs supporting older adults, adults with disabilities, and their family caregivers in Del Norte County. Responsibilities include providing Information & Assistance, CalFresh application support, volunteer recruitment and management, instruction to older adults in small-group settings, and data entry and program administration tasks. The coordinator is expected to work closely with staff, other agencies, community members, local governmental and non-profit agencies, and committees and boards as appropriate to ensure the coordination and provision of responsive and accessible services.

Aging-in-Place Specialist
Full Time: 35hrs/wk; non-exempt position
Starting range is $20 to $21/hour.

Under the direct supervision of the Home-Based Services Supervisor, this position assesses older adults 60+ and/or adults with disability through the Person-Centered Options Counseling model to develop and execute a mutually agreed upon service plan improving the client’s ability to safely age in the environment of their choosing. This position also coordinates and performs the duties of the Homemaker and Home Modification programs. The Homemaker Program provides 10-hours of light housekeeping and/or decluttering services. The Home Modification Program requires an in-home fall risk assessment to identify home safety interventions. The specialist is expected to work closely with A1AA staff, licensed contractors and community partners to ensure the coordination and provision of responsive and accessible services.
