Aging-in-Place Specialist

Under the direct supervision of the Social Services Supervisor, this position assesses older adults 60+ and/or adults with disability through the Person-Centered Options Counseling model to develop and execute a mutually agreed upon service plan improving the client’s ability to safely age in the environment of their choosing. This position also coordinates and/or performs the duties of the Homemaker and Home Modification programs. The Homemaker Program requires an in-home intake with up to 10-hours of light housekeeping and/or decluttering services provided to eligible clients. The Home Modification Program requires an in-home fall risk assessment to identify home safety interventions. The specialist is expected to work closely with A1AA staff, licensed contractors, and community partners to ensure the coordination and provision of responsive and accessible services.
A1AA is seeking a bilingual candidate, fluent in English and Spanish. This position works out of the Eureka Office located at 333 J Street with a hybrid work-from-home option of up to 2 days/week.
Full time, non-exempt position (35-hours/week). Starting range is $20 to $21.50/hour. Benefits, sick leave, paid holidays, and optional 403B. Opportunity to work for a mission-driven organization and contribute to important work.
