Dear Community Partners, 

On behalf of the Area 1 Agency on Aging, we would like to extend the opportunity for you to become a sponsor of the Young at Heart 2025, scheduled for Wednesday evening, October 1, 2025, 5:30 PM, at the Arcata Playhouse.

The local group, Young and Lovely will be performing at a benefit for Area 1 Agency on Aging’s Volunteer Driver Program.

Started in 2010, the Volunteer Driver Program brings people 50 and older who are no longer able to drive to their medical appointments and the pharmacy. This program is volunteer “driven” and can serve any place a volunteer is willing to drive. Volunteers receive mileage reimbursement and heartfelt thanks from our riders. The funding for this program is decreasing significantly in 2026 and it is too important to lose.

In addition to music, we will be featuring a selection of local professional and amateur bakers who will compete for the soon to be coveted Lovely Layers Award, based on audience voting. The cakes will then be auctioned off at the event. 

We are reaching out to organizations like yours to support this event through sponsorship. Sponsorship offers visibility and the opportunity to demonstrate your organization’s commitment to supporting the medical transportation needs of older adults.
