The Aging In Place Specialist is responsible for completing a detailed Intake Form with each client to better understand their interests and when appropriate make referral to a Fall Risk Assessment and/or Homemaker Services. Fall Risk Assessment
Fall Risk Assessments can help identify opportunities for clients to remain safely in their home. This program can fund minor home safety modifications in Humboldt County as well as make referrals to other agencies. This program prioritizes low income clients at 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Homemaker Services
Homemaker is a service available to individuals aged 60+ who live in Humboldt County. Homemaker aims to promote independence for older adults by providing short-term assistance with in-home tasks such as light housekeeping. This is a non-emergency service. We are unable to assist clients who have received eviction notices or clean-up orders of 30-days or less.
